Vacancy Description

We are looking for a new Chair of Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust to lead and support our organisation through an immensely exciting and challenging time both within the Trust and in the wider NHS community.

Our ambition is to continue to develop and lead the provision of mental health, learning disability and autism services, using the skills and talents of partners to provide the very best integrated care. We will support closer working between physical health, mental health, and social care services to provide services as locally as possible.

Working with our system partners is essential as we strive to influence and deliver improved health outcomes and a reduction in physical and mental health inequalities.

We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to develop services that will ensure the people of Lancashire, South Cumbria and beyond continue to benefit from care of the highest quality for decades to come.

Person Specification

To help us seize these opportunities, we are looking for a highly skilled individual who has a passion for improving the mental health of the people of Lancashire and South Cumbria and a strong commitment to addressing the complex and entrenched health inequalities issues, that face the communities we serve. They must also have provided strong and effective leadership in a complex and changing environment and will be able to use that experience to support LSCFT to achieve its objectives in a way that is in keeping with the vision and values that are so important to its staff and patients.

Additional Information

If you have these qualities and want to join an ambitious Trust seeking to set new standards for service delivery and care, and working in partnership across the local health and care system to support the delivery of integrated care that breaks down barriers between physical and mental health, please contact Janice Scanlan or Jenny Adrian at Hunter Healthcare ( or phone: 07939 250362 to learn more.
