Vacancy Description
This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the Board of Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust into the future and influence the quality of services provided to a patient population of more than 300k.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust aims to inspire hope and provide unparalleled care for the people and communities of Cheshire, helping them to enjoy life to the fullest. The Trust comprises: Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, in addition to a comprehensive community service through the Central Cheshire Integrated Community Partnership.
More than 5,100 members of staff deliver the highest standards of care across 500+ hospital beds with a range of planned and unplanned care services including accident and emergency, maternity, outpatients, therapies, and children’s health. The Trust has recently been awarded funding to develop a Cheshire Elective Hub at Victoria Infirmary which follows the successful creation of a new community diagnostics centre on the same site. Meanwhile, Leighton Hospital is one of the five ‘at risk’ RAAC hospitals (Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) and has been identified for redevelopment as part of the Government’s new hospitals programme.
