NHS Improvement is pleased to announce the appointments of Melloney Poole from 1 May 2017 to 30 April 2019 and David Parfitt from 15 May 2017 to 14 May 2019 as Non-executive Directors of Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. We are recruiting two non-executive directors for Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. These are exceptional opportunities to share your talents and expertise to make a positive difference to the lives of people in your community.

Person Specification

Essential criteria

You will need to have a genuine commitment to patients and the promotion of excellent health care services. You will have senior level experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Governance experience; bringing experience of strategic planning, financial,
    risk and performance management
  • Recent, relevant finance experience in a large and complex organisation with the capacity to Chair appropriate Board Committee’s, preferably with a financial qualification
  • Senior level management experience and organisational skills
  • Experience in a Board level role in quality / service improvement and redesign with a demonstrable track record of delivering quality improvement at a strategic level
