Vacancy Description

We are recruiting a Chair for Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Portsmouth Hospitals by sharing your talents and expertise to help transform the Trust and make a positive difference to your community.

Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust provides a range of acute services at the Queen Alexandra Hospital that are vitally important to the people of Portsmouth and the surrounding area. The Chair will provide the leadership needed to secure improved healthcare services for patients and the local community and be responsible for ensuring that the Trust makes the most of the impetus and fresh perspectives provided by its new leadership team to address the strategic challenges it faces.

We value and promote diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity for all and appointments made on merit. We believe that the best boards are those that reflect the communities they serve.

We particularly welcome applications from women, people from the local black and minority ethnic communities, and disabled people who we know are under-represented in chair and non-executive roles.
