An announcement has been made on the outcome of this appointment.
Professor George Griffin’s term of appointment has been extended as a Non-Executive Member of Public Health England from 1st October 2020 until 31 March 2021.
The extension will continue to involve a time commitment of 2 to 3 days per month. Remuneration for the role will be at a rate of £7,883 per annum.
The appointment is made in accordance with the Cabinet Office Code of Governance for Public Appointments.
The appointment is made on merit and political activity played no part in the decision process. However, in accordance with the Code, there is a requirement for appointees’ political activity (if any declared) to be made public. Professor Griffin has not declared any political activity.
